Christmas Clothes Week – 7th-11th December
From Monday 7th December for the week everyone at Wearhead Primary can come to school wearing an item of festive clothing. This can be a sock, a jumper or whatever has that festive feeling. Please can the children also remember to bring with them waterproofs/warm clothing as we will still be outside as much as possible.
Snow-Slush-Ice-Wet Weather
Snow-Slush-Ice-Wet weather
As we speed along into the depths of winter and the ever changing weather it is important for the children to have waterproof clothing and footwear. It is always a bonus if there are spares of socks/tights/trousers left at school as a back-up.
Children’s Art Competition – Star Art – AONB
North Pennines AONB launched this competition during North Pennines Stargazing Week. But they are struggling to get entries in and have extended the closing date for a couple of weeks. It would be a real shame not to get entries and winners.
Children’s Art Competition – Star Art 2020
During Stargazing Week the AONB launched their children’s space/stargazing art competition and are still searching for talented young artists to enter. There are three age categories – under 8s, 8-12; and 13-18 years. The winner of each category will receive a pair of Helios 10×50 Fieldmaster binoculars – which are ideal for budding stargazers (as well as birdwatchers). Runners up will receive some astronomy and stargazing books.
The closing date is Wednesday 2 December – so there’s plenty of time to get your artwork in. Full details here: https://bit.ly/starart2020
There is a shareable post on our Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/NorthPenninesAONB/posts/3859664977378604
